Once again: I GOT MY REBATE CHECK IN FIVE DAYS. I received a $10 rebate check from Kensington in 5 days. I had no prior experience with Kensington rebates, so it was with some concern that I took Newegg's offer to buy this trackball at a significant ($10) rebate discount offer and filed the rebate. I have filed many, many rebates over the years and the process has always been a hassle. I, however, have some things to say about the rebate. There are a lot of reviews here that will basically say the same things. It simply works, it is well-built, overall a high-quality item. Overall Review: I don't have much to say about the trackball itself. Pros: Good product with solid build quality. That's not a good thing or a bad thing, just a thing. If you do, though, it's a nice trackball.Īlso, this trackball isn't meant for you to wrap your hand around it, but instead to hover your hand over it and reach down to touch it with your fingertips. As such, it looks nice, but the spot where the plastic was injected into the mold has only a very faint pattern, and I guess it's a crapshoot whether you get one that's good enough to work right or not. Mine works fine, though I can see how these errors could happen the ball isn't actually printed with a pattern, but instead it's molded with tiger's-eye striations in the plastic itself.
Overall Review: I've seen some reviews stating that the trackball stops responding because of errors in the pattern on the ball. Kensington is L***tech's only competition, now that M****soft has pulled out of the trackball market.Ĭons: The ball isn't held in place, it just rests in its socket no zero-g computing for *this* trackball.
